ArchDaily en Español Announces 2026 Obra del Año Award Winners from Peru and Ecuador
On April 16, 2026, ArchDaily en Español revealed the recipients of its 2026 Obra del Año award following three weeks of public voting involving more than 800 projects. The top honor was given to the Escenario Flotante Principal de Muyunafest 2025, located in Iquitos, Peru, designed by Espacio Común and constructed during the Itaya River's rise in May 2025 for the Muyuna Fest film festival. The second place winner was Escuela Mirador, La Jalquilla in San Ignacio, Cajamarca, Peru, created by Semillas, which benefits over 110 students. In third place, Pabellón Horizonte in Guayaquil, Ecuador, designed by Eletres Studio and Carrera de Arquitectura UCSG, functions as an experimental observatory. This award highlights outstanding architecture from Latin America and Spain.
