ARC Z Architects and Practice on Earth Design Tree Tavern and Cave Teahouse in Ancient Banyan Village

In 2025, the Taberna del Árbol y Casa de Té en la Cueva, or Tree Tavern and Cave Teahouse, was completed by ARC Z Architects and Practice on Earth at the Ancient Banyan Literary Village, under Fengyuzhu's guidance. Spanning 85 m², the project features two structures that preserve the site’s original character while incorporating modern elements. The design was led by Zi Meng and Yinuo Qiu, with Qiu also serving as the on-site architect and Cloe Yun Wang handling the furniture design. Photography was done by Runzi Zhu, Qingyan Zhu, and Ziyan Zhang. The project beautifully blends storytelling, programming, and historical context, maintaining a serene link to the ancestral hall despite the nearby new villas.
