Aram Lee Wins 25th SongEun Art Award, Sotheby's Saudi Auction Focuses on Fine Art, Pavilion Fair Debuts in Taipei
Aram Lee, an artist from Seoul who now lives in Amsterdam, has just won the 25th SongEun Art Award for her 2025 film, Every Worm Trampled is a Star, which explores the history of Yongsan Garrison. For her achievement, she’ll receive KRW 20 million (around USD 13,625) and will hold a solo show at SongEun Art Space in Seoul, plus residencies at both the Seoul Museum of Art and the Delfina Foundation. The works from the finalists will be on display at SongEun Art Space until February 14. In other news, Sotheby's will host its second auction in Saudi Arabia, called 'Origins II,' on January 31 in Diriyah, featuring over 70 artworks. Neeraj Patel's textile piece at Jaipur's Sculpture Park is available for viewing until October 15, and a new art fair, Pavilion, is set to launch in Taipei from January 22–26, featuring 13 galleries.
