AR Public Awards 2026 Finalists Announced by The Architectural Review

The Architectural Review has revealed the seven finalists for the AR Public Awards 2026, honoring public space projects that strengthen collective life and civic urban dimensions. Selected by a jury comprising Rafiq Azam, Judith Loesing, and Mario Súñer Díaz, the projects range from infrastructure recovery and degraded landscapes to urban interventions and cultural facilities designed as open, accessible spaces. Finalists include Parque Quintana Roo in Mexico by Aidia Studio; Warsaw Uprising Mound in Poland by Archigrest and Toposcape; public space interventions in Yangshantou, China by Atelier Wo-Land; the Natural History Museum garden in the UK by Feilden Fowles and J&L Gibbons; Takamori Station of the Minamiaso Railway in Japan by Neuob; Plaça del Canòdrom in Spain by Peris + Toral Arquitectes; and North Gate Spirit in Thailand by Sher Maker. The jury sought projects that are "open and welcoming," capable of being traversed "with a free mind." Winners and honorable mentions will be announced in June 2026 and published in the June issue of The Architectural Review.
