Aqua Aura's 'La stratégie du camouflage' at Parma's Chinese Museum
The Museo d’Arte Cinese ed Etnografico in Parma hosts Aqua Aura's solo exhibition 'La stratégie du camouflage', curated by Marta Santacaterina, as part of Parma 360 Festival della creatività. The show features large-format digital works blending natural elements, urban details, cells, viruses, and human tissues. The video 'Millennial Tears' (2017) depicts Arctic glaciers melting, emphasizing human responsibility. In the final room, among Ming and Qing ceramics, the artist presents images of plants and flowers in mitotic phases with organic cells on black backgrounds. 3D-printed sculptures encased in glass and tulle, titled 'The Gift', resemble dangerous, vibrant cells. The exhibition creates a dialogue between contemporary art and the museum's ancient collection.
