architecture-design · 2026-06-01

AQMA has finalized a mixed-use structure in the Les Groues area of Nanterre, strategically located at the crossroads of La Défense, the upcoming Grand Paris Express station, and a prominent university center. This initiative, situated within the FOCD block, integrates 43 social housing units alongside adaptable ERP workspaces into one cohesive design. Spanning 5,900 m², the building was completed in 2025. The lead architect, Aguilar Matthias, collaborated with a design team that included Quillent Amandine, Rigault Agnès, Morini Camillo, and Rachidi Ambrine. Khephren managed structural engineering, AVLS handled acoustics, environmental engineering was conducted by LeSommer, and AB environnement oversaw MEP & HVAC. The economist was Mazet, and products were supplied by manufacturer Serge Ferrari, with photography by Jean Baptiste Thiriet and curation by Hadir Al Koshta.
