Après Crépuscule at Cologne Kunstverein Explores Belgian Label's Legacy

Curated by Oliver Tepel, the group exhibition 'Après Crépuscule' at the Cologne Kunstverein delves into the Belgian record label Les Disques du Crépuscule, established in 1980 by Michel Duval and Annik Honoré. By 1984, this label had expanded to include sub-labels, a publishing division, a design agency, and a nightclub, showcasing music that ranged from New Wave to minimal compositions. The exhibition showcases Benoit Hennebert's private collection, alongside works from associated artists and emerging talents like Claus Richter and Lucy McKenzie. Hennebert's style stands in contrast to Peter Saville's Factory Records design. Featured artists include Claude Stassaert, Jean-François Octave, and Linder's collages.
