Apple iOS 27 to Overhaul Camera App with Pro Customization
Apple's upcoming iOS 27 update will introduce a major redesign of the iPhone Camera app, offering professional photographers extensive customization options. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, citing anonymous sources, users can rearrange controls like flash, exposure, timer, and resolution via a new "Add Widgets" tray with three categories: basic, manual, and settings. An "advanced" layout will include depth-of-field and exposure adjustments, plus new grid and level tools. The control button moves beside the shutter. A new Siri mode integrates Visual Intelligence for tasks like plant identification and text translation. Apple will keep default controls but allow custom setups. The update is part of broader interface changes to the Liquid Glass design language introduced last year. iOS 27 is expected to be announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8. An Apple spokesperson declined to comment.
