Apocalypse and Rebirth: Group Show at Z2O Gallery in Rome

At Z2O Gallery in Rome, near Chiostro del Bramante and Piazza Navona, curator Marcelle Joseph presents works by seven young London-based artists exploring contemporary catastrophe and hope for rebirth. The exhibition, titled "Apocalisse e rinascita," features a print by Marie Jacotey with the word "No!" at the entrance, Gabriella Boyd's oil painting "Best Friends" depicting a man holding a half-empty glass, and Rebecca Ackroyd's sculptures made from plaster, chicken wire, ventilation duct, and paint. Other artists include Zadie Xa, whose fiery dreamlike palette is evident. The show evokes James Ballard's novel "The Drowned World" and its post-apocalyptic rebirth. The gallery's white walls frame the diverse works, creating a harmonious yet chaotic space.
