Apinan Poshyananda Awarded Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy for Cultural Contributions

Apinan Poshyananda, who leads the Bangkok Art Biennale as its artistic director and CEO, recently received the Ufficiale dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia from the President of Italy. The award ceremony was held at the Italian Embassy in Bangkok, with Paolo Dionisi, the Italian ambassador to Thailand, presenting the honor. This award recognizes Poshyananda's three decades of work in enhancing the cultural ties between Italy and Thailand. Established in 1947, the honor is given for outstanding contributions to Italian culture and international partnerships. Poshyananda has held various roles in Thailand’s Ministry of Culture and has been involved in significant art initiatives. He was also honored as a Knight of the Royal Order of the Polar Star in 2003 and received the Chevalier Order of Italian Solidarity in 2009.
