Aperture is offering editioned prints of Rotimi Fani-Kayode's Untitled (circa 1988), a gelatin-silver image that delves into themes of race, queerness, and spirituality. This edition consists of 20 prints along with 2 estate proofs, all produced on Harman GDS baryta-coated fiber-based gloss paper (image dimensions 15 x 15 inches, paper dimensions 20 x 24 inches), with proceeds benefiting Autograph (Association of Black Photographers). Fani-Kayode, who was born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1955, received his MFA from Pratt Institute in 1983 and co-founded Autograph in 1988. He passed away at the age of 34 in December 1989. His work is celebrated globally, impacting American artists and held in collections such as the Guggenheim.
