Antonio Marras, fashion designer turned artist, debuts at Massimo Minini gallery

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Fashion designer Antonio Marras, known for his multidisciplinary practice influenced by Maria Lai and Carol Rama, will hold his first solo exhibition at Galleria Massimo Minini in Brescia starting November 25, 2017. The show, titled 'seipersei,' features a selection of works chosen by Minini, including new pieces created specifically for the gallery, such as a portrait of Minini and a wall installation with wallpaper and brush interventions. The exhibition culminates in a performance titled 'Mio cuore io sto soffrendo, cosa posso fare per te?' at Ex Cantine Folonari, marking Marras's debut in performance art. The collaboration began unexpectedly when Minini visited Marras's retrospective at Triennale di Milano in 2016 and spontaneously proposed the exhibition. Marras will also produce an artist's book based on photos of his hands taken by Minini.
