Antonio Galdo and Melania Rossi feature in Artribune's new podcast

Artribune has launched a new podcast series titled "Contemporaneamente," curated by Mariantonietta Firmani. The podcast features thematic dialogues with authoritative figures from contemporary art, science, literature, history, philosophy, architecture, and cinema. The latest episode hosts journalist Antonio Galdo and curator Melania Rossi. Galdo, director of the "Non Sprecare" project, discusses art and ecology, journalism, and curating, touching on topics such as Italy's resistance to authentic narratives, artists' connection to places, and the need for art to be less self-referential. He also mentions the historical imposition by the seven oil sisters to convert Henry Ford's electric motor to gasoline, the shift of unions from defending rights to defending privileges, and the non-neutrality of technology. Rossi, an art critic and independent curator who has collaborated with artist Jan Fabre since 2013, contributes her expertise. The podcast aims to explore current mechanisms between local and global, individual and society, and masculine and feminine thought, fostering a broad and objective view of reality.
