Antonello da Messina and Marco Delogu in Dialogue at Palazzo Bellomo
An exhibition titled 'Antonello da Messina. Marco Delogu: Five Works Explored and Transfigured Through Photography' is currently on display at the Galleria Regionale di Palazzo Bellomo in Siracusa. This showcase features five significant paintings from the renowned 15th-century artist Antonello da Messina. Accompanying these masterpieces are contemporary photographs taken by Marco Delogu, who is also the president of PalaExpo. Delogu initially captured four of the artworks during a 2003 exhibition in Rome, along with the Annunciation piece from 1474, emphasizing the lasting impact of Renaissance art on today's photography. The event runs through September 30, 2025.
