Anton Yelchin's Photography Debuts in Rome at Palazzo Brancaccio

Provocative Beauty, the first European solo exhibition of Anton Yelchin's photography, opens October 27, 2019, at Spazio Field in Palazzo Brancaccio, Rome. The show features over 50 photographs taken in the last six years of the actor and photographer's life, who died in 2016 at age 27. Curated by Alessio de'Navasques and Clayton Calvert, the exhibition was originally conceived by Yelchin himself, who selected the works previously shown in Los Angeles and New York. The display includes images of people from his life, film sets, and scenes ranging from transgressive to intimate. The exhibition coincides with Videocittà, Rome's audiovisual festival in its second edition. Spazio Field, a new contemporary art project space on the noble floor of Palazzo Brancaccio (formerly home to the Museo Nazionale d'Arte Orientale 'Giuseppe Tucci', which moved in 2017), will officially launch its program in 2020, making Yelchin's show a preview. On October 27 at 6 PM, the documentary Love, Antosha directed by Garret Price will screen at Sala Intesa Sanpaolo in Ex Caserma Guido Reni, featuring interviews with Jodie Foster, Jennifer Lawrence, Willem Dafoe, and narration by Nicolas Cage.
