Anthropic Boosts Claude Limits via SpaceX Compute Deal

Anthropic has revealed a collaboration with SpaceX to fully utilize the computing power of its Colossus 1 data center, which will provide over 300 megawatts (220,000+ NVIDIA GPUs) within the month. This enhancement will benefit Claude Pro and Max subscribers immediately. The firm has also increased Claude Code rate limits for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, eliminated peak hour reductions for Pro and Max, and boosted API rate limits for Claude Opus. Additional compute agreements include 5 GW with Amazon (nearly 1 GW by the end of 2026), 5 GW with Google and Broadcom (starting in 2027), a $30 billion partnership with Microsoft and NVIDIA, and a $50 billion investment from Fluidstack. Anthropic is also pursuing orbital AI compute with SpaceX and expanding internationally in Asia and Europe through Amazon, focusing on democratic nations with reliable supply chains. The company has pledged to absorb rising electricity costs for U.S. consumers from data centers and is considering similar commitments internationally. Recent launches feature ten Cowork and Claude Code plugins, Microsoft 365 integrations, connectors, and a financial services MCP app. Additionally, Anthropic announced plans to establish an enterprise AI services firm with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs, along with Claude for Creative Work.
