Anthropic Appoints KiYoung Choi as Korea Director Ahead of Seoul Office Opening

Anthropic has named KiYoung Choi as the Representative Director for Korea in anticipation of the launch of its Seoul office. Choi comes from Snowflake, where he held the position of General Manager for Korea, bringing over 30 years of experience in leading tech firms throughout Korea and the Asia-Pacific region. His previous roles include country leadership at Google Cloud, Adobe, Autodesk, and Microsoft. Korea is a highly active market for Claude.ai, with usage rates exceeding expectations by more than 3.5 times, particularly in technical and creative sectors. In the upcoming weeks, Anthropic's senior leaders will visit Seoul to inaugurate the office and engage with clients. Choi will spearhead a market strategy that includes collaborations with Law&Company and SK Telecom, while the Korea team will prioritize partnerships with businesses, startups, and government entities, as well as support for the developer community.
