Ans Azura: nuova piattaforma online per l'arte extra-occidentale

market-auction · 2026-04-27

Ans Azura, a fresh online hub for contemporary art from Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, will kick off its first auctions on December 2 and 9, 2021. Founded by Suzana Vasilescu and Andreea Stanculeanu, who also run SUPRAINFINIT and Sector 1 Gallery in Bucharest, the platform officially launched on November 7. It aims to showcase post-war artistic narratives often missed by the Western art scene through auctions, curated exhibitions, and private sales. In 2022, the first curated exhibition, "Why Have There Been No Great Eastern Women Artists?" will be led by Eszter Csillag, drawing inspiration from Linda Nochlin. Expert Tevž Logar points out the platform's promise in developing a structured art market in the area.
