Annu Palakunnathu Matthew's 'Hidden Stories' at Tagliacozzo

A new exhibition titled "Hidden Stories: Italians from Abruzzo and Indian Soldiers in World War II" is set to launch at Palazzo Ducale Orsini-Colonna in Tagliacozzo. Running until September 21, the show is curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi and Maria Teresa Capacchione as part of the Contemporanea 25 series. Highlighting the work of Annu Palakunnathu Matthew from the University of Rhode Island, the exhibit features her research on Indian soldiers' experiences during the Italian Campaign. Attendees can expect an array of visual media, including photographs and video art, as well as a historical violin from an Indian soldier. A monograph and a retrospective of artist Concetta Baldassarre are slated for release in 2025.
