La serie fotografica di 23 anni sulla maternità di Annie Hsiao-Ching Wang

L'artista taiwanese Annie Hsiao-Ching Wang, nata a Taipei nel 1972 e con un dottorato presso l'Università di Brighton, è professoressa assistente alla National Dong Hwa University. Il suo progetto 'La madre come creatrice' abbraccia due decenni, reinterpretando la maternità come atto creativo, elogiato da The New Yorker e BBC. La sua serie in corso 'Mio figlio e io alla stessa altezza' documenta foto annuali con suo figlio dal 2002 al 2025, esplorando l'uguaglianza di genere e l'identità materna. Wang ha esposto al Festival Images Vevey, al Festival Internazionale di Fotografia in Australia, ad AIPAD New York e a Paris Photo. Le sue opere sono conservate al Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Getty Center, George Eastman Museum, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Harry Ransom Center, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Victoria and Albert Museum e Tainan Museum of Art.
