Taiwanese artist Annie Hsiao-Ching Wang, born in Taipei in 1972 and holding a PhD from the University of Brighton, is an assistant professor at National Dong Hwa University. Her project "The Mother as a Creator" spans two decades, reimagining motherhood as a creative act, praised by The New Yorker and BBC. Her ongoing series "My Son and I at the Same Height" documents annual photos with her son from 2002 to 2025, exploring gender equality and maternal identity. Wang has exhibited at Festival Images Vevey, International Festival of Photography in Australia, AIPAD New York, and Paris Photo.
