Anne Deleporte and Sam Martineau present newspaper-based installations in Williamsburg galleries

exhibition · 2026-04-22

Anne Deleporte, a French artist, has converted Roebling Hall into an installation that utilizes flattened pages from The New York Times and Village Voice. The walls are adorned with baby blue latex paint, revealing selected images that are described as 'photo-frescoes,' evoking the appearance of constellations against a blue sky. This exhibition is open until October 31 at 390 Wythe Avenue, operating Friday through Monday from noon to 6 p.m. Meanwhile, at Brooklyn Fire Proof, Sam Martineau showcases 'Slip Down Easy,' which features framed racing images from Indianapolis and Daytona Beach, embellished with geometric patterns. His exhibition runs until November 13 at 101 Richardson Street, available Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Both artists demonstrate improvisational confidence with their modest materials.
