Anne and Patrick Poirier Exhibition at Luca Cipelletti's Studio in Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-04

For the second consecutive year, Milanese architect Luca Cipelletti opens his two-level industrial studio near the Naviglio Grande for a dialogue with contemporary art. Following a memorable exhibition of David Tremlett's historical works, the studio now hosts Anne and Patrick Poirier, with whom Cipelletti has long collaborated on the Gorgonzola cemetery project, envisioned by the artists as a 'Giardino della memoria' (Garden of Memory) and currently under construction with the studio's assistance. The oak-shaped plan, visible in the model on display, symbolizes the synergy between heaven and earth and embodies the artists' longstanding research on spirituality and dialogue between cultures and spaces. The curated selection of photographs highlights their connection to history, antiquity, and the culture of peoples, as well as their attention to maps and surveys of possible geographies. The exhibition reveals a path based on affinity between disciplines, also evident in another Cipelletti project, the Museo della merda founded by Gianantonio Locatelli in the Piacenza area, which also hosts works by the Poiriers.
