Annarumma Gallery moves into co-working space in Naples
Francesco Annarumma, owner of the eponymous gallery in Naples for nearly twenty years, has announced the relocation of his gallery to an unconventional space: a third-floor apartment at Via Partenope 1, shared with a notary's office. This makes Annarumma Gallery one of the first art galleries to operate within a co-working environment, at least in Italy. The decision stems from reflections during the first lockdown, when Annarumma realized that physical space is not indispensable. He successfully sold artworks via Instagram to clients in New York, Los Angeles, Malaysia, China, Russia, and Romania. The new location offers three rooms, a storage area, and three balconies with views of Capri. Annarumma secured the space through a concessione di spazi attrezzati contract, which provides tax and bureaucratic advantages. He believes this model could be attractive for young gallerists. The new space will open on January 8, 2022, with a group exhibition titled "The Bright Side of the Moon," featuring only female artists.
