Anna Reading Wins 2018–19 Mark Tanner Sculpture Award with £8,000 Prize and London Exhibition

Anna Reading, an artist based in London, has been awarded the 2018–2019 Mark Tanner Sculpture Award, which includes a grant of £8,000 to aid her in creating new works over the coming year. In 2019, she is set to showcase a solo exhibition at Standpoint Gallery, a non-profit space in London. Established in 2001 and named after the British sculptor Mark Tanner, this award honors a sculptor residing in the UK who focuses on process and materials. Reading's diverse artistic practice includes sculpture, animation, and installation. She has recently completed residencies at the Academy for Visual Arts in Hong Kong and Non-Space in Aarhus, Denmark, and was recognized as a Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2018 artist.
