Anna Quinz and Fabio Dalvit Launch Qollezione_02 Inspired by Alpine Homes

Anna Quinz and Fabio Dalvit have released Qollezione_02, a capsule collection of five numbered, unique garments that reinterpret the domestic architecture and traditions of South Tyrol (Alto Adige). The collection draws inspiration from the Stube, the traditional living room of Tyrolean mountain houses, characterized by warm wood, decorated tiles, an angled table (eckbank), a large stove, a prayer altar, and handcrafted textiles. The designers collaborate with Tessitura Artistica Franz, a historic textile mill founded by Josef Franz in the early 1900s, known for experimental processes and Tyrolean motifs. The garments—high-waisted trousers, A-line skirts, cross-closure jackets, short-sleeved dresses, structured vests, and a white shirt—feature intricate embroidery in cerulean blue and beige. Each piece conceals a message by Massimiliano Mariz, such as "Live Long and Prosper," echoing propitiatory phrases found on home altars. The collection emphasizes anti-consumerism, quality, and collectibility, releasing only one collection per year with few pieces. The project blends affective memory, conceptual art, and artisanal fashion, positioning itself as an artistic research rather than commercial fashion.
