Anna Mari Liivrand's 'The Woo of Coiling Paths' Opens at Kogo Gallery, Tartu

On 28 August 2026 at 18:15, Kogo Gallery in Tartu will unveil Anna Mari Liivrand's exhibition titled 'The Woo of Coiling Paths.' Liivrand, who shared the 2025 Köler Prize with Hanna Samoson, will conduct a tour at 20:30 during the Gallery Night and Aparaaditehas Festival. The exhibition, curated by Elīna Drāke, delves into themes of ornamental metalwork, botanical designs, and stained-glass mosaics, while also featuring graffiti-inspired aspects. The installations incorporate vintage stained glass, industrial artifacts, and antique decorations, with glass flaws echoing the philosophy of kintsugi. Based in Tallinn, Liivrand earned her master's in 2022 and bachelor's in 2016 from the Estonian Academy of Arts. Her recent works include 'On the Edge of Fading Voltage' (2025) and various group exhibitions in 2026.
