Anna Foglietta on Feminism, Activism, and Every Child Is My Child

Anna Foglietta, actress and activist born in Rome on April 3, 1979, is featured in Artribune's 'Donne Manifesto' series. Known for films like 'Nessuno mi può giudicare' and 'Perfetti sconosciuti', she has portrayed poet Alda Merini and politician Nilde Lotti. Her show 'Donne vestite di sole', created with Davide Cavuti, tours Italy to address gender issues. Foglietta is president of Every Child Is My Child, founded in 2017, which runs Plaster School near the Turkey-Syria border (now over 80 children) and Fairplay School in Latina for disabled youth. The association also supported Banco Alimentare during COVID-19 and Soleterre ONG for Ukrainian children with cancer. She is part of the Una Nessuna Centomila network and marched in Rome on November 25, 2023, with her sons. Foglietta advocates for affective education in schools and believes gender equality will take another century.
