Anna Colin and Lydia Yee to Curate British Art Show 8, Opening in Leeds in October 2015

The eighth British Art Show will be curated by Anna Colin and Lydia Yee, set to launch in Leeds in October 2015 before moving on to Edinburgh, Norwich, and Southampton. This exhibition, held every five years, is the largest contemporary art tour in the UK. The curators were selected by a panel. The last edition, British Art Show 7, attracted more than 420,000 attendees across four cities from 2010 to 2011. Lydia Yee, who serves as curator at Barbican Art Gallery, has organized notable exhibitions such as Bauhaus: Art as Life (2013) and has commissioned various artists. Anna Colin, co-founder of Open School East and associate curator at Fondation Galeries Lafayette, has also curated projects at numerous venues and previously co-directed Bétonsalon while working at Gasworks.
