Anish Kapoor's Versailles Garden Installation
Anish Kapoor presents an exhibition of his works in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles in 2015, following his 2011 Monumenta installation at the Grand Palais in Paris. The exhibition is designed in dialogue with André Le Nôtre's perspectives, the fountains, water features, marble statuary, and mirrors of the Hall of Mirrors. The show includes iconic pieces such as "Cloud Gate" and "Sky Mirror," which reflect and distort the surrounding classical landscape. The installation runs from June to November 2015, marking the first time a contemporary artist has intervened in the gardens since the 17th century. The exhibition is organized by the Château de Versailles in collaboration with the artist's studio.
