Anish Kapoor Retrospective Spans Serralves Museum and Park
The Serralves Museum in Porto presents 'Anish Kapoor: Works, Thoughts, Experiments', a major survey covering forty years of the British artist's career. Born in Mumbai in 1954, Kapoor's exhibition unfolds both inside Álvaro Siza's iconic museum building and across the surrounding park, which includes the historic Villa Serralves. Curated by Suzanne Cotter and coordinated by Marta Moreira de Almeida, the show features over 50 models of realized and unrealized projects in the galleries, while five monumental works are installed in the park at sites chosen by Kapoor for their environmental qualities. Among the outdoor pieces are new works alongside 'Sky Mirror' and 'Sectional Body', previously shown in the 2015 'Kapoor Versailles' exhibition.
