Animation Explores the Mechanics of Creative Inspiration
Canadian studio Vucko produced an animation that examines the mechanisms behind creative inspiration. The film defines inspiration as 'a mental stimulus to do or feel something' and argues that emotions—anger, joy, jealousy, sadness, nervousness—are powerful catalysts for creating new work. Multiple artists and animators contributed short segments, which were assembled using the surrealist 'exquisite corpse' technique. The project was published by Artribune in November 2019.
