Angelo Mosca's 'Drain Off' at Galleria Six, Milan

Galleria Six in Milan presents 'Drain Off', a solo exhibition by Italian painter Angelo Mosca (born 1961, Chieti). The show features works created between 2017 and 2022, originally intended for two separate exhibitions delayed by personal reasons and the pandemic lockdown. Mosca, who spent fifteen years in London before moving his studio to Castel di Ieri in the province of L'Aquila, describes the works as a synthesis of his thirty-year practice, marking a period of crisis and reflection tied to age and the isolation of the medieval village. The exhibition opened on February 26, 2022, simultaneously at the Milan space in Piola and in a new window display of the gallery in Venice. Mosca, who also directs the local museum in Castel di Ieri, characterizes his style as romantic, lyrical, and tragic, aiming for direct emotional transfer onto canvas. The exhibition runs until March 19, 2022.
