Angel Moya Garcia Appointed Curator of Bevilacqua La Masa Artist Residencies
Angel Moya Garcia was born in Córdoba, Spain, in 1980, and he has just been named the curator for the 2022/2023 residency program at Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice. This selection followed an open call that attracted more than 100 entries from across Europe. Prior to this role, Moya Garcia led programming and cultural events at Mattatoio di Roma until June 2022. He will mentor 15 artists, including Nicola Bindoni and Ornella Cardillo, and will also organize a final exhibition at Galleria di Piazza San Marco in 2023. Beyond that, he’s involved in workshops and meetings for the artists. Additionally, he co-directs Visual Arts at Tenuta Dello Scompiglio in Lucca and curates Progetto Panorama 2022 at the Quadriennale di Roma.
