Andy Warhol's 'Triple Elvis' Exhibition at Gallerie d'Italia in Naples
After almost five decades since his initial visit, Andy Warhol makes a return to Naples with a significant exhibition at Gallerie d'Italia, named 'Andy Warhol. Triple Elvis,' under the curation of Luca Massimo Barbero. This showcase highlights three pivotal series from Warhol's mid-career (1960s–1970s) sourced from the Luigi e Peppino Agrati Collection. It begins with silkscreens of 'Electric Chairs' and 'Mao Tse-Tung.' Featured works include 'Triple Elvis' (1963) and Marilyn silkscreens (1967), alongside a photographic piece by Duane Michals. The exhibition concludes with two pieces titled 'Vesuvius,' celebrating Warhol's ties to Naples. 'Andy Warhol. Triple Elvis' is set to run until February 2025, as part of the 'Vitalità del Tempo' initiative at Intesa Sanpaolo's cultural center.
