Andy Warhol's Silver Liz (diptych) Promised to Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego

Currently residing in a private collection, Andy Warhol's 1963 diptych Silver Liz, which features silkscreen ink, acrylic, and spray paint on linen, measures 40 by 80 inches across its two panels. This artwork has been pledged as a gift to the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. The piece is represented by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc., with licensing overseen by Artists Rights Society (ARS) in New York. This work highlights Warhol's renowned celebrity portraiture from the early 1960s, centering on actress Elizabeth Taylor, and will enhance public access to significant Pop Art in San Diego.
