Andy Warhol's complete cinema works debut on RaroVideo Channel via Amazon Prime Video

Minerva Pictures, led by Gianluca Curti, has signed a major agreement with the Andy Warhol Foundation-Europa to make the complete cinematic works directed and produced by Andy Warhol available on RaroVideo Channel, a subscription channel on Amazon Prime Video. The deal grants exclusive worldwide streaming rights to Warhol's filmography, including landmark works such as the four-hour double-screen epic 'The Chelsea Girls,' the punk-infused 'Vinyl,' and 'The Velvet Underground & Nico' capturing the New York scene with Lou Reed and Nico. Early experimental films like 'Blow Job' and 'Kiss' are included, alongside the trilogy 'Flesh/Trash/Heat' directed by Warhol's longtime collaborator Paul Morrissey and starring Factory icon Joe Dallesandro. Warhol began filmmaking in 1963 at the Silver Factory with a Bolex 16mm camera, shooting at 24 frames per second but projecting at 16 fps to create a slow, meditative effect. His early cinema was predominantly black-and-white, using fixed cameras and linear editing to merge real time with filmic time. The agreement marks a significant expansion of RaroVideo Channel's catalog of genre and cult films, positioning it as a dedicated platform for avant-garde cinema.
