Andy Picci Mentorship at Istituto Marangoni Florence

Istituto Marangoni, a fashion and design school founded in 1935 with campuses in Milan, Florence, Paris, London, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Mumbai, and Miami, has launched a special mentorship project featuring artist Andy Picci. Born in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1989, Picci's work explores personal identity, fame, social networks, and their influence, often blending real and surreal elements on his Instagram profile. The unconventional mentorship will run from February to May 2021 at the Florence campus, allowing participating students to reflect on the hybridization of art and fashion, individuality, and the potential of the virtual to expand reality. According to the school, Picci's work aligns with its ethos of breaking boundaries to create new forms that redefine classical art. Students enrolling in an Istituto Marangoni Florence art course by November 30, 2020 can join the exclusive project, which aims to deepen their understanding of multimedia communication, digital arts, new media, and emerging technologies.
