Andreas Bülhoff and Marc Matter Release Vinyl 'micro poems'

Andreas Bülhoff and Marc Matter have released 'micro poems', a vinyl record on the Spoken Matter label. The work features twenty-four loops of isolated words, twelve per side, selected for their ambiguity and sonic quality. The words are vocalized by poet Ian Hatcher, who developed a specific prosodic approach to interpret them. The vinyl uses closed fixed grooves to enable endless, precise repetition impossible on other media. Each loop becomes a sonic microcosm where repetition creates a space between loss of meaning and interpretive potential. On one side, each loop contains a single word; on the other, two words per loop. The piece updates a poetic approach to spoken language, inviting active listening and individual interpretation. Bülhoff and Matter previously explored similar concepts on 'ɅV / A Sonic Writing Tool', released by Berlin label Research and Waves in 2021.
