Andrea Lombardinilo Appointed President of Rome's Quadriennale Foundation

Andrea Lombardinilo has been appointed as the new President of the Fondazione Quadriennale di Roma, taking over from Luca Beatrice, who passed away unexpectedly in January 2025 at the age of 63. This decision was made by Alessandro Giuli, the Italian Culture Minister. Lombardinilo, a sociology professor at both the University of Gabriele d'Annunzio in Chieti-Pescara and Roma Tre University, will lead the organization of the 18th Quadriennale exhibition, set for October 2025 at Palazzo delle Esposizioni. The exhibition will include a distinguished curatorial team, such as Luca Massimo Barbero and Francesco Bonami, and will pay tribute to the 1935 Quadriennale curated by Walter Guadagnini. Lombardinilo, who has led the Fondazione Michetti since 2022, intends to continue Beatrice's initiatives, including a roadshow prior to the exhibition. He also has extensive experience managing the Museo Michetti in Francavilla a Mare and overseeing the 76th Premio Michetti. Additionally, he has authored numerous academic publications on communication and sociology.
