Andrea Castelletti Wins Gold Label at Vinitaly for Cossignani Wine Design

Graphic designer Andrea Castelletti (San Benedetto del Tronto, 1985) received the 'etichetta d’oro' (gold label) award at the 26th edition of Vinitaly for his label design of Cossignani's L.E. Tempo wine. The label features a serpent coiled around a cosmic egg, referencing the myth of Chronos, with a die-cut window revealing the wine. Castelletti, who previously worked with brands like Lavazza, Technogym, Barilla, and Pepsi, began his wine sector work in 2010 with a Franciacorta consortium pitch, and later in 2013 with Cantina dei Colli Ripani. He views packaging as a strategic narrative tool, not mere decoration. The award competition included 287 entries from around the world. Castelletti also designed labels for Cantina dei Colli Ripani, including one celebrating Ripatransone's narrowest alley in Italy, which won a Communication Arts Award of Excellence. He emphasizes storytelling and simplicity, inspired by designer John Maeda.
