Andrade Morettin's treehouse pavilion at Casa Figueira bridges Brazilian modernism and future urbanism

So, there's this architectural firm called Andrade Morettin from São Paulo that has designed a pavilion for Casa Figueira, a new urban project in Campinas, Brazil, created by Iguatemi. This pavilion is perched 24 meters above the gardens of the old Fazenda Brandina coffee estate and serves as both a community hub and a marketing venue. Made from eucalyptus Glulam timber and Brazilian steel, it features glass windows and terraces, all under a striking overhanging roof that showcases a contemporary take on Brazilian design. Isabel Duprat designed the inside, which includes interactive models of urban planning, a 150-seat auditorium, and flexible spaces for events centered on smart city concepts. Groundbreaking for this area started in 2025, with plans for 50,000 residents living in 100 mixed-use towers on over a million square meters, complete with parks and eco-friendly infrastructure. Carlos Jereissati from Iguatemi mentioned how important this architecture is for shaping the skyline and imagining the future of the area. The pavilion is intended as a glimpse into what’s to come and a place for the community to reflect on urban centrality.
