Anderssen & Voll's Kipu Club chair gets outdoor version for Lapalma

architecture-design · 2026-04-30

Italian furniture maker Lapalma has released an outdoor version of the Kipu Club chair, originally designed by Norwegian duo Anderssen & Voll. The chair debuted indoors in 2024 as an evolution of the designers' pouf of the same name, featuring a pebble-shaped base and curved backrest. The new al fresco variant is fortified with a marine plywood base, UV-stable outdoor fabric, and optional water-resistant covers. Lapalma described the design as a nest-like reinvention of a shape that already seemed perfect. The Kipu Club outdoor chair can be used alone, in groups, or paired with the matching pouf, which doubles as a seat or side table. Dimensions are 87 x 87 x 74 millimeters.
