ANAS Celebrates 90 Years with Exhibition at Triennale Milano

exhibition · 2026-05-05

ANAS, the Italian national road agency, marks its 90th anniversary with the exhibition 'Mi ricordo la strada' at Triennale Milano, running until March 18, 2018. Curated by Emilia Giorgi and Antonio Ottomanelli, the show selects ten milestones from Italian history between 1928 and 2018, focusing on events that caused mass movements and territorial transformation. The installation, designed by Marco Ferrari and Elisa Pasqual of Studio Folder, features works by photographers including Olivo Barbieri, Luigi Ghirri, and Roberto Masotti, as well as architects like Pier Luigi Nervi and Sergio Musmeci. Key moments depicted include the 1966 Florence flood, the 1974 Umbria Jazz festival in Perugia, Bob Marley's 1980 concert at San Siro, and the 1969 competition for the Strait of Messina bridge. The exhibition uses archival images from ANSA, MAXXI Archive, ICCD, and the Florence Civic Archive. From April 20 to May 17, the show will travel on a truck across seven Italian cities: Trieste, Reggio Emilia, Assisi, Olbia, Salerno, Reggio Calabria, and Catania.
