Anagoor and Accademia D'Arcadia Present New Version of 'Et Manchi Pietà' on Artemisia Gentileschi

On Monday, May 30 at 11:30 AM, Alessandra Rossi Lürig of the Accademia D'Arcadia ensemble, Simone Derai, and Moreno Callegari of the Anagoor collective will meet the public at the Teatro dell'Arte CRT in Milan during the Third Public Conference of the IBA (International Biennial Association). The event presents the new version of 'Et Manchi Pietà', a work on Artemisia Gentileschi. The piece combines thirteen large paintings with musical pieces by Monteverdi, Merula, Strozzi, Castello, Landi, Rossi, Falconieri, Fontana, Trabaci, and Marini. It integrates video, theater, and music to explore new artistic horizons for contemporary theater. A novelty is the presence of actor Moreno Callegari on stage, guiding the audience through words and music referencing Gentileschi's biography. The show also includes a concert recorded specifically by the Accademia d'Arcadia ensemble, directed by Alessandra Rossi Lürig.
