Amy Gaskin's 'Marilyn Forever' Documents Monroe's Enduring Legacy
In anticipation of Marilyn Monroe's centennial on June 1, 2026, photographer Amy Gaskin is set to publish a new book titled 'Marilyn Forever! Marilyn Monroe—A Symbol of Hope.' This creative endeavor was inspired by lipstick imprints she discovered on Monroe’s tomb during the pandemic. Through conversations with visitors, Gaskin found that many admire Monroe for her resilience and her impact as a figure linked to civil rights for Black and LGBTQ+ individuals. The book will include global contributions. Gaskin's photography will also be showcased at the Staley-Wise Gallery in New York this summer.
