American billionaire opens luxury hotel in Langhe with major contemporary art collection

American entrepreneur Kyle J. Krause, who also owns Parma Calcio 1913 and Piedmontese wineries Enrico Serafino and Vietti, has opened Casa di Langa, a five-star boutique hotel in Cerreto Langhe, Italy. The 39-room hotel sits on a 42-hectare sustainable estate with 100% recycled water, geothermal and photovoltaic systems, and a zero single-use plastic goal. The hotel features a curated contemporary art collection including works by Carla Accardi, Massimo Bartolini, Alighiero Boetti, Enrico Castellani, Claudio Parmiggiani, Ugo Rondinone, McArthur Binion, Rosemarie Trockel, and Piero Manzoni. The architecture by GaS Studio and interior design by Parisotto + Formenton use local materials like Luserna stone and terracotta, with furnishings from B&B Italia, Cassina, DePadova, Meridiani, and Emu. Guests can enjoy wine tastings, cooking classes, truffle hunting, and an Art Tour of the collection.
