AmaWaterways to Launch AmaNubia Luxury River Ship on the Nile This Fall

other · 2026-08-05

AmaWaterways is set to debut its latest luxury river vessel, the AmaNubia, on the Nile River this November. This 236-foot ship can host up to 76 passengers across 23 staterooms and 15 suites, including a spacious owner's suite that measures 525 square feet. Drawing inspiration from ancient Egyptian art, the ship features a variety of amenities such as a main dining area, Chef's Table, sundeck, club, pool, wellness center, and fitness facility. The itinerary, 'Secrets of Egypt & the Nile,' includes stops at iconic sites like the Great Pyramids of Giza and a private tour of Abdeen Palace in Cairo. Guests will also enjoy accommodations at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. Optional excursions encompass visits to Abu Simbel and high tea at the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract in Aswan, with additional trips to Alexandria, Dubai, and Jordan. CEO Catherine Powell emphasized the growing interest in Egypt and the ship's ability to enhance guest experiences through collaborations with expert Egyptologists and luxury hotels. The AmaNubia shares similarities with the AmaLilia, which launches in 2024, but boasts a unique layout. River cruises are regarded as a secure travel option in Egypt, allowing for convenient docking near attractions and guided excursions.
