Amanda Carneiro and Raphael Fonseca to Curate 2027 Bienal de São Paulo
The 37th Bienal de São Paulo, scheduled for 2027, will see Amanda Carneiro and Raphael Fonseca taking on the roles of curators, as announced by the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo. Since 2018, Carneiro has been a curator at MASP, where she has organized exhibitions featuring artists such as Santiago Yahuarcani and Beatriz Milhazes, in addition to co-curating shows that spotlight marginalized voices. She was also part of the curatorial team for the 2024 Venice Biennale. Fonseca, who serves as the visual arts programmer at Culturgest, is a curator-at-large for the Denver Art Museum and is currently overseeing the Taiwan Pavilion for the 2026 Venice Biennale.
