AlUla and L'ÉCOLE Partner for Jewelry Arts Education
A Memorandum of Understanding has been established between the Royal Commission for AlUla and L'ÉCOLE School of Jewelry Arts, backed by Van Cleef & Arpels, to enhance jewelry education, training, and cultural exchange. This agreement aims to cultivate skills in craftsmanship, art history, and gemmology through organized programs at Madrasat Addeera in the AlJadidah Arts district. The initiative will offer workshops, professional courses, and practical learning opportunities for various skill levels, fostering local talent in line with global standards. Additionally, the collaboration will involve joint research, publishing, and translating educational resources into Arabic for better accessibility. Phillip Jones, chief tourism officer at the Royal Commission of AlUla, highlighted tourism's role in cultural exchange, while Sophie Claudel, director of L'ÉCOLE Middle East, stressed education as a unifying force.
